Spring is a time when everything blooms anew – and this year’s SCHEMA Conference will certainly be no exception. An annual highlight for the technical documentation sector, we will be opening the doors of our conference on the 9th and 10th May 2017 to SCHEMA customers and partners at Nuremberg Convention Center’s (NCC) “Mitte” site, our new venue for this year.
More space – more opportunities
We are taking the fresh winds of change in our stride with our change in location from the NCC Ost to the more spacious conference levels of NCC Mitte and are looking forward to presenting a diverse programme to all visitors to the two-day event. Information on the latest SCHEMA developments and numerous insights into customer and partner solutions can all be found on this year’s agenda. On the first morning, SCHEMA experts will reveal how new developments for the SCHEMA ST4 and Content Delivery Server (CDS) solutions are driven, particularly in the context of automation. Workshops on successfully working with SCHEMA ST4 will focus specifically upon more robust translation processes and the implementation of “smart” publications alongside the migration of inventory data and the analysis and evaluation of data for intelligent information processing in ST4 and CDS, plus much more besides.
During the evening of the 9th May, our traditional evening event will once again take place in the heart of Nuremberg’s Old Town: make merry, relax and enjoy yourself. This will provide ample opportunity for our guests to mingle with industry experts and the SCHEMA team, and maybe even greet old friends and familiar faces who they were unable to talk to during the jam-packed first day of the conference … And it will also provide ample time to recharge batteries ahead of the second day!
Day two, full programme
Kicking off at 9 am, the delegates will be spoilt for choice with workshops and presentations covering a wide range of content. There will be customers reporting on their experiences from real-world applications, while partners and SCHEMA developers will be discussing the requirements of modern component content management systems and providing insights into the features and possibilities of SCHEMA ST4 and the SCHEMA Content Delivery Server. We are also delighted by the broad range of sectors that will be represented as well as the many speakers who will be reporting on their experiences. In 2017, we will be welcoming representatives from Philips Medical Systems, Otto Bock Healthcare, Bentley Motors, Daikin, Jensen, SEW Eurodrive, Maquet and many more. As in the previous year, presentations will be held in English and interpreters will be on hand for our delegates from all over the world.
Breaks throughout the day will provide an opportunity to converse over coffee and snacks, to enjoy the atmosphere or to bring yourself up to speed on any given topic at one of the numerous partner stands. The scale of solutions offered here will range from Industry 4.0, content solutions, language and translation management to publishing, data migration and consulting. Representatives from A2 Documentation & Translation, Acrolinx, Across, Carstens + Partner, Congree, doctima, Dokuwerk, Dr. Rieland GmbH, ep Technische Dokumentation, ICMS, Imprimatur, Kaleidoscope, nlg, Schmeling + Consultants, T3, text&form, TID Informatik, Transline Deutschland and Urban Translation Services will be in attendance this year and happy to answer any questions. An eagerly awaited highlight will be the panel discussion on the topic of content delivery, in which SCHEMA’s executive management will participate, alongside representatives from professional organisations and the world of business. Daniel Schultheiss from Allvisual will follow with an introduction to a rather special Swiss startup. In his presentation he will explain how thorough data integrity is essential for automation and Industry 4.0, the necessary preconditions that this requires and the consequences it can have for a company.
